Graduate Student Aid (Master's or Doctorate degree)

Graduate students may qualify for financial aid that is not available for undergraduates. Financial support can come from paid positions on campus including: teaching assistant and research assistant opportunities, fellowships, resident counselor and student tutor positions. Awards are provided after the student has been accepted into graduate school. Not every department provides financial support for graduate students, so please contact the school program of your choice to see what types of financial support the school can provide.

A fellowship typically includes both full or partial tuition waiver and an annual stipend to help with living expenses. Most fellowships are reserved for doctoral candidates.

The FORE Foundation, the fundraising organization of AHIMA provides grants and fellowships for graduate students each year. Additionally, doctoral students receive help in the form of grants for their dissertation research costs.
